Marilyn Monroe Bedroom
There are so many things we love about Marilyn Monroe -- her wide-eyed look, 'Some Like It Hot,' her magnetic personality and, of course, fabulous wardrobe. But here's something else we can add to the list: This 1951 photo of Monroe relaxing in her cozy bedroom.
First of all, we want to curl up in a fluffy down comforter with a good book, stat. (As we write this, it's about 15 degrees at HuffPost Home's New York City headquarters.) But we also would love a bedroom filled with midcentury dressers, landscape art and a sexy shag rug. No wonder Monroe looks so at ease.
In case you're feeling as inspired as we are by the room's 1950s design, we've rounded up pieces from our favorite retailers and go-to sites for vintage so you can create a Marilyn Monroe-inspired bedroom of your own. What would you add to the mix? Let us know in the comments!
